Family with Baby

Adoption = Increasing your Family Circle

We believe in honorable adoptions. At Legacy, our adoptive parents do not only carefully and lovingly tell their child of their adoption story but they honor their birth mother in their home. They speak of their bravery and strength, their selflessness and love. They provide their story of this little adopted one’s “tummy mommy.” The adoptive mommy and daddy do not share the story of their child’s biological parents haphazardly, but do so proudly and with great appreciation for the sacrifice they made.

With the permission of the birth mother, the adoptive parents frame, scrapbook, or have memory box pictures of the birth mother and father in their home. They wish to honor the brave people that helped create their new family. This birth mom chose life and endured a 9-month pregnancy then to decide, after tireless deliberation, that the absolute best life for this child would not be with her current circumstances. Instantly the adoptive parents have love and respect for this mother. So honor is the best word to describe how our adoptive parents reference the birth parents of their child.

Adoption Means Family
What does family mean to you? To us, adoption is about building families. And we don’t mean building families by connecting an adoptive couple, possibly struggling with infertility issues, with a newborn child it’s SO much more than that.

At Legacy Adoptions, family means expanding the birth mother’s family. The adoptive family really needs to think of it as adopting not only a baby, but the birth mother herself. Since she is making an adoption plan for her baby, that entails choosing a family that is aligned with her values and dreams for her child’s future. As a parent, choosing what she feels is best for her child is step number one in being a parent. This selfless decision enables her to connect with a Christian couple with overwhelming love for their potential unborn child and his or her mother. This mutual love is what bonds these two separate family units together. Now the expectant mother not only blessed a childless couple, but in turn, was blessed with new family members for the future. Regardless of which kind of post placement contact the birth mother chooses, she has gained two new extended members of her family tree. What a rare and beautiful event, that will last a lifetime.

The decision to place your baby up for adoption is a courageous one. We want you to know that you can count on Legacy Adoptions Services throughout this process. If you would like to talk with one of our caring professionals, please contact our office.
