Adam and Ashton

About Us

You’re My Favorite

We met through mutual friends in college and actually lived down the street from each other. We describe our college days as being very similar to the TV show “Friends”- there were 3 girls and 3 guys who lived across the street and were always hanging out at each other’s places. We got to know each other very well as friends before we started dating after about 2 years. At this point, we really knew each other’s values and interests. Adam eventually presented Ashton with an ultimatum: if we are serious, let’s be serious! He was moving to Atlanta so we started dating long distance, but we very quickly knew we wanted to spend forever together. We dated for about 8 months before getting engaged and then married 5 months later. We have a long standing joke that we are each other’s “favorites.” We truly agree that there is no better partner in life than your best friend.

Almost 10 years ago we made the decision to move to Texas in full faith that God would provide. Adam planned to work in facilities at a church in Dallas, and Ashton hoped to get a substitute teaching job until she could officially apply as an educator in Texas. Little did we know, God already had set us up for this next adventure leaving everything we knew behind in Tennessee. On his drive to Texas, Adam got a call to interview for accounting at the church! Then, Ashton accepted her first official teaching job a month before the school year started. The only way all of this could have worked out so perfectly was by God’s will. We are still in awe to this day!
After working in accounting for a few years at the church, Adam transitioned to a pastor role. This opened new leadership opportunities and Adam’s ability to serve more of our church community. Ashton continued to teach and gain leadership roles at her school campus. Last year Adam got the opportunity to move into accounting again for a nonprofit, and through much prayer and guidance he made that transition, but quickly found himself in a new role there as well: leading content teams for student church curriculum. We have enjoyed the years of growth and transition to bring us where we are today. Each position has challenged us in our faith and ability to take on more responsibility, further preparing us for parenthood. We look forward to sharing how God has worked so many hard seasons out for good with our children and encouraging them to serve and love others as we do through involvement in our church and careers.

Our Family

As a family we love to celebrate Shabbat dinner to initiate a day of rest in our home. We often invite friends or family to join us in sharing a meal as well as spending intentional time together. We look forward to teaching our future children about the tradition, intentionality, and how to make the Challah bread!
We also do matching PJs for Christmas with our family, which is always fun!

Our Home

Our Home

We are truly blessed to have a home with lots of space to grow! We moved into our house about 9 years ago and have enjoyed making it our own. Recently we added rocking chairs to our front porch, and it has become one of our favorite places! Our goal has always been to have a home that is welcoming and comfortable. We cherish a safe place to rest and enjoy life. We are within walking distance to multiple parks, as well as a lake, and our dogs love to walk there. We look forward to bringing future children to play at the park and enjoy the outdoors.

Final Thoughts

We Appreciate You

We truly appreciate you taking the time to get to know our family and we hope that you can see the love, dedication, and commitment we hope to share with a child one day. We want to honor the selflessness it takes to choose adoption for your child, and we will always honor the place you have in their life. Our commitment is to share a home filled with faith, love, and laughter. We pray for peace, guidance, and clarity as you make the decision that feels right for you and your baby.
