I (Jordan) grew up in a small town in Indiana, where I spent countless hours kicking a soccer ball around, fueled by the unwavering support of my amazing parents and my older sister. They instilled in me the values of hard work, kindness, and the joy of learning. Sundays were our family’s special ritual: we’d start with a joyful church service, swing by to grab some delicious donuts for breakfast, and gather around the dinner table in the evening to share our week’s highlights and low points. Those dinners taught me the importance of respect and listening, nurturing a deep sense of empathy that I cherish today. Fast forward to now, at 34, I’m an engineer in renewable energy, and I couldn’t be happier! I get to work on exciting projects across the globe with diverse teams, all aimed at making the world a brighter place. I’m passionate about leaving a better planet for future generations. In my downtime, you’ll find me whipping up tasty meals, tending to my garden, staying active, hanging out with friends, playing with my dogs, or unwinding with a good movie. Looking back on my journey, I feel so thankful for every experience that has shaped me, from the laughter-filled family gatherings to the lessons learned through loss. Each moment has contributed to who I am today, and I strive to embody the kindness and compassion my parents taught me. I eagerly anticipate the adventures that await, especially with Jackie by my side and dreams of starting a family on the horizon—the best is truly yet to come!
I (Jackie) was born and raised in Houston, TX, until I ventured to Louisiana State University for college. After graduating, I returned to Houston to pursue my career and have been here ever since. Today, I’m 33, and am a passionate marketing professional leading a global team. Creativity fuels my soul and I love to use my hands to create something, whether I’m crafting or transforming spaces through remodeling projects. I love to travel, exploring new cultures and cuisines, with a special affinity for France. My friendships are incredibly important to me, I believe our friends are the family we choose, and that love is stronger than blood. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering and embracing the joy of giving back to my community. I stay busy being part of the Parade committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and teaching a free weekly CPR class. Ultimately, I strive to live a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful experiences. Life is an adventure, and I am so ready to embrace our next adventure of growing our family!
We have known each other for over 15 years. Since we met in college, we have gone through so many life adventures together. It’s hard to imagine not having each other for support. Through all these triumphs and setbacks, each of us have been there for the other to support, guide, learn, and most importantly love the other. We have remained true to our vowels to each other: to love each other fiercely at all costs, and that we promise to make each other independently better by being together. We are a rather motivated couple to experience all that life has to offer through the Lord, friendships, life experiences, travel, and work, however it is all these attributes that make us.
Jackie and Jordan’s families cherish unique traditions. Jackie relishes weekend trips to her dad’s in Louisiana for shrimping, crabbing, and a lively annual crawfish boil. Her mom in the Texas Hill Country ensures visits are memorable with cooking classes and garden strolls. Jordan’s family, rooted in Louisville, treasures cheering on the horses at the Kentucky Derby. Both families eagerly await the new child, ready to share these beloved traditions.
Our home, built in 1956, is nestled on a spacious lot adorned with majestic oak trees, right in the heart of Houston. It’s a charming ranch-style house featuring four bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, designed to be both a cozy retreat and an entertainer’s paradise. We absolutely love our vibrant neighborhood, filled with young families and boasting a fantastic park just a short stroll from our home. The location offers us the best of both worlds: all the city’s main attractions are less than a 20-minute drive, yet situated in a peaceful residential area with a generous yard to throw tennis balls for our dogs. We love hosting family and friend gatherings at our house, especially during the holidays when Jackie has the whole place “decked to the halls” with Christmas decor. We can easily walk to local coffee shops, restaurants, and stores, which is a huge plus! One of the main reasons we, along with many other young families, chose this neighborhood is its zoning to an excellent elementary school and its proximity to some of the city’s top private schools. We purchased our home at just 25 years old, and calling it a “fixer-upper” back then would be a major understatement! Over the years, we dedicated ourselves to a significant remodel, completely transforming and expanding the space into the perfect home for our future family.
We truly appreciate the significance of this decision and the connection it creates. We hope you felt our genuine passion for becoming parents and our strong commitment to nurturing our future child. Our dream is to provide a life filled with joy, security, and love. We are excited about the possibility of building a lasting relationship with you, founded on love, compassion, trust, and understanding.
