About Us

Our Story

We met in college and were set up by a mutual friend our junior year. We hit it off immediately on our first date to the aquarium, and we’ve been together ever since. We were both involved in the same campus ministry where we were volunteers at local high schools. We also studied together and graduated with the same degree from the business school. College was full of fun and laughter with friends – some of our favorite nights were spent playing sand volleyball and grabbing milkshakes.

We dated for 3 years before getting engaged on New Year’s Eve, and we got married the following August, in 2017. Our wedding was outside at the botanical garden, and we were surrounded by all of our favorite people. Clark’s dad performed the ceremony, and our siblings and friends stood by our side.

We renovated our first home in our dream neighborhood shortly after getting married, and it’s where we still live today!

Our Family

Holidays are filled with laughter and fun, especially as our extended family continues to grow. Each year, we see both of our families for Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s our favorite time of year. Reagan loves decorating our house for each holiday, but Christmas is our absolute favorite. Our home becomes magical with Christmas colors, twinkling lights and a fresh tree we take pride in selecting each year. We can’t wait to create unique and special holiday traditions with our children!

Our Home

Our Neighborhood

Our home is in one of the most beloved, safe neighborhoods in the area.
We have a great backyard that we’ve dreamed of our future children playing in since the day we bought our house. There’s plenty of room for a playset one day and to run around and play. Our backyard is lined with evergreen trees that create a lovely border to the back of our property. Our favorite tree is a large magnolia in the back corner that blooms in the summer. Our neighborhood is a part of the local Dogwood Trail, and the streets are filled with gorgeous pink and white dogwood blooms all spring long.

We love going on evening walks in our neighborhood where there are plenty of families with children. We are just a quick walk away from our wonderful neighborhood park that has 3 separate play grounds, a walking trail, pickleball and tennis courts, a basketball court and baseball fields. Our home is also within walking distance of the elementary school where we are zoned, and we hear nothing but good things about it.

We have a screened-in porch on the back of our house where we love to spend time when the weather is nice. One of our favorite things is to watch movies with a bowl of popcorn and candy out on the porch with our outdoor movie projector. When it’s nice out, we’ll open our windows and doors to the porch to feel the breeze and listen to the birds. In the winter, Clark keeps our home cozy by building fires in our woodburning fireplace. Oftentimes, one of us is curled up in the chair beside the warm fireplace with a good book.

The interior layout of our home is an open-concept floor plan which allows us to feel together even if we are in separate rooms. The kitchen is in the center of our home and overlooks the backyard. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and plenty of room for our family to grow. The nursery is right next to our room. It’s got lots of natural light, a crib, and is packed with baby gear. Right outside the room is a bathroom with a tub for bath time.

Final Thoughts

Our Promise to You

Thank you for taking the time to read some of our story! It would be the biggest honor of our lives to become parents. If we are given the gift of parenthood through adoption, our child will always know their adoption story, and the beautiful way they became part of our family. We promise, above all, to take such good care of your precious baby. To be present for them every day of their life, to wipe their tears when they’re sad and to squeeze them tight when their heart hurts. To make laughter and kindness the language of our home. To water the gifts God has given them so they can flourish, to teach them about God who created them and loves them deeply, and about lavish kindness and grace. To continue working hard to give them a great life, and great opportunities for their future, showing them the value of hard work, while always keeping family as the top priority. We promise the two of us will protect our marriage. We promise to pray for you.
