Our life together has been guided by faith, joy, and steady growth. In spring 2025 we were blessed with our son, Noah. Becoming his parents has been the greatest gift, and every day with him has deepened our desire to grow our family.

From the moment we brought Noah home, we felt called to adopt again. We imagine him as a loving big brother and dream of a home filled with laughter, warmth, and encouragement for every child in our care.

We welcome whatever level of contact feels right for you and would be honored for you to be part of this child’s life in the way you choose. Regardless of the relationship, we promise to always tell your child their story with respect, gratitude, and love.

About Us

Our Love Story

We met online thirteen years ago using an online app. For our first date we met at Starbucks for what we thought would be a quick cup of coffee. Four hours later we were still deep in conversation so we decided to go to supper. What we thought would be a short date turned out to be nine hours. We felt God’s presence in our relationship from the start and we know that He brought us together. We dated for over two years before we got engaged and we married a year to the day from our engagement.

Family Traditions

Living in our neighborhood makes Halloween especially memorable. We enjoy dressing up, handing out candy, and seeing Michael’s students stop by each year. Fall is such a fun season with Noah, filled with favorite traditions like trick-or-treating, visiting pumpkin patches, and attending local festivals.

Christmas is one of the most meaningful times of the year for our family. We love visiting downtown Grapevine to enjoy the holiday festivities, spending time with family and friends at holiday gatherings, baking special Christmas treats, and most importantly celebrating Jesus’ birthday. Our home is always filled with Christmas spirit, from our large Christmas tree and outdoor lights to our nativity scenes.

We also enjoy hosting game nights with family and friends, playing air hockey, ping pong, video games, and favorite card and domino games together.

As a family, we love going to Texas Rangers home games. There’s something special about spending time at the ballpark—cheering on the team, soaking in the atmosphere, and creating lasting memories together.

Nicki has one brother with a five-year-old daughter, and we absolutely treasure the time we spend with her. When she comes over, our home is filled with laughter, imagination, and so much joy—whether we’re playing games, reading stories, or just being silly together. Those moments have given us such a meaningful glimpse into the fun, love, and closeness that come with having children grow.

This is Our Family

Michael is an only child, so Noah’s arrival made his parents grandparents for the very first time—a role they have embraced with so much love and joy. They are incredibly devoted and involved, helping care for Noah each week and cherishing every moment they get to spend with him. The bond they share with him is so special and such a gift to our family. It means so much to us to have their constant support and presence in our lives. We also treasure the time we spend together as a family. Many evenings are filled with laughter around the table, playing games like 42 and Hand and Foot, sharing stories, and simply enjoying being together.

Things to Know About Us

1. Church plays a very important role in our lives and is the foundation of our family. We attend the same church where Nicki was raised and where her mother still attends today. Nicki’s father serves as a deacon, and both of us are actively involved in serving in different areas of the church. Our church has been a constant source of love, encouragement, and support throughout our lives. It is especially meaningful to us that we were married there, just as Nicki’s parents were years before. Our church family is already so excited to welcome our future child and walk alongside us as we raise him or her to know and love the Lord.

2. We are both educators at different schools, so learning and education are very important to our family. We value curiosity, creativity, and helping children grow into confident learners. Because of our backgrounds in education, we understand the importance of creating a supportive, encouraging environment where a child can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. We look forward to being actively involved in our child’s education and encouraging a lifelong love of learning.

3. We have a wonderful five-year-old niece who brings so much happiness and energy into our lives. Whenever she comes over, our home is filled with laughter, imagination, and excitement. We love spending time playing games, reading stories, doing fun activities, and simply being silly together. Watching her grow and seeing the joy she brings to our family has made us even more excited about becoming parents ourselves.

4. Spending quality time with family and friends is something we truly value. One of our favorite ways to connect is through game nights filled with laughter, friendly competition, and fun memories. Whether we are playing board games, card games, dominoes, or video games, we love creating an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, relaxed, and connected.

Our Home

Knowing we wanted to grow our family, we chose a three-bedroom home with intention, imagining it as a place where children could grow up surrounded by love, laughter, and everyday connection. We also have a large playroom and an office space that can easily adapt as our family grows, giving us room for both structure and play. From the beginning, we pictured our home filled with toys on the floor, little footsteps running through the halls, and the joy of siblings growing up together.

Noah’s nursery is already a very special space, filled with warmth, soft touches, and meaningful details we chose while preparing for his arrival. It reflects how deeply loved and celebrated he is. Our home has been designed with him in mind, and there is plenty of space for him and his future sibling to play, explore, and learn side by side.

We cannot wait to welcome the newest member of our family and continue building a home centered on love, stability, and togetherness. As our children grow, we hope our home will always feel like a safe place where they can be themselves, make memories, and always know they are deeply loved.

We also enjoy opening our home to family and friends for game nights that are full of laughter, connection, and friendly competition. Our living spaces often become filled with people gathered around tables or the game area, playing video games, card games, and domino games, especially favorites like Hand and Foot. These nights are never just about the games—they are about togetherness, storytelling, and building strong relationships.

We hope our children grow up in a home that is always welcoming, joyful, and full of life, where traditions like these help them feel connected not only to us, but to a wider circle of family and friends who love them deeply.
