Family with Baby

Jeff and Kaylee

About Us

Our Story

Jeff had a crush on Kaylee in 5th grade but we did not start officially dating until 8th grade. We knew each other through braces, bad haircuts, and all the awkward stages. As with a lot of high school loves, we had our shares of ups and downs. However, after deciding we were willing to have a long-distance relationship through college, we knew we were in it for the long haul. We married weeks after graduating college and moved to the DFW area for Jeff’s job. We have been here ever since and now claim it fully as home. We have now been married for over 10 years. The world seems scary sometimes, but we always feel like the one solid thing we can grasp to is each other.

I (Kaylee) have a solid group of girlfriends that I am always grabbing coffee with or meeting up with for playdates. I decided to pick up pickleball recently. Let’s just say I won’t be winning any tournaments anytime soon, but I have really enjoyed it! I lean towards the arts and creative side of things and love to have a drill or paintbrush in my hand (sometimes a scary thought for Jeff). My newest project is tackling our house, one small project at a time, to make it feel even more like us.

I am a stay at home mom and It is my biggest joy, truly. It is hard and messy with big feelings sometimes, but being able to pour into our kids, and raise them to be kind humans, is the highest honor and my dream. We simply love to play together! We have a backyard garden that you can always find us working on. We always have an art or painting project going on. We love to go on daily adventures to the zoo, park, library, and museums. We are always down to explore somewhere new! My heart and soul are so ready to grow and love on a new baby!

I (Jeff) primarily choose to spend my free time playing with my kids (games/ puzzles/ hiking/ biking/etc.). They are awesome kids and I get a lot of joy out of spending time with them. I also enjoy water skiing, snow skiing, watching baseball and playing golf when I get the chance. Im a big country music fan and enjoy going to concerts as well. I also spend quite a bit of time working out to not only stay in shape but also just to help clear my mind. Kaylee may say I am even a little crazy for enjoying running marathons.

Our Family

We really love celebrating each other and that includes our birthdays. The night before each person’s birthday we decorate the entire house with streamers and balloons. We go all out using the same cheesy decorations each year but it’s become our thing and makes the person feel so seen and loved. Birthdays are a “yes” day (within reason) for our kiddos. They think it is magical! Cake for breakfast, park hopping, and homemade pizza to name just a few things!

Our Home

Our Home and Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is really unique in that it has five parks in walking distance from us, a coffee shop we can walk to, pools, tennis courts, basketball courts, a
stocked pond, a lake and trails. There are a ton of kids and families that live here, so at any given time you will see families on walks, kids playing soccer, and bikes flying by. Most everyone drives around in a golf cart here, which makes for a lot of fun driving from one event to the next. In the evenings we will sometimes hop in ours just to drive around. We have some of the best sunsets here.

We enjoy all the neighborhood events that are put on from fireworks and a 4th of July parade to movie nights and nerf wars. It really is a kids paradise. We spend a lot of our summer days at the pool or out at the lake area building sand castles. We love being outside and there is plenty to do here.

We live in a 4 bedroom home with a playroom that Ellie and James have most likely exploded toys onto the floor of as we speak! We love our backyard and spend many, many hours playing out there each day. We have a fun blow up waterslide that we pull out in the hot months, and have our friends over to roast marshmallows on our fire pit in the winter. Our home is definitely our happy place!

Final Thoughts

We are praying for you

Thank you. We want to again express our sincere thanks for taking the time to learn about us and our family. We have a life that we truly love and would love nothing more than to share our lives, and the love God has surrounded us in, with you and your child. We understand the privilege and incredible responsibility of being parents. Whether we are the family for you or not, we pray for nothing but the best for you. Kaylee, Jeff, Ellie, and James
